The problem

Restaurants that take orders by phone or through big delivery apps lose control of their menu, their customers and a share of every order. Customers keep calling to ask where their food is.

A restaurant needs its own ordering site that works in Arabic and English, shows the order’s progress without phone calls, and gives the owner a clear view of the day.

What we built

Two sides of one platform: an ordering site for customers and a dashboard for the restaurant, both in Arabic and English.

A menu that’s easy to browseDishes by category with instant search, in Arabic or English, with the layout mirrored for each language. Sold-out dishes show as unavailable.

Checkout the browser can’t cheatThe cart survives a page reload, and prices are checked against the menu again before the order is placed.

Tracking without phone callsCustomers follow the order from pending to delivered, and can share a tracking link.

The restaurant’s day at a glanceRevenue, orders today, average order, top dishes and 7-day activity, with a live feed of incoming orders and full menu management.

The hard parts we solved

Prices the browser can’t change

The total isn’t trusted from the customer’s screen. The server looks up each dish’s real price and saves the order and its items in a single step: either everything is saved, or nothing is.

Live tracking without refreshing

When the kitchen moves an order to preparing or out for delivery, the customer’s tracking screen updates by itself within moments.

A public demo anyone can try safely

Visitors can open the restaurant dashboard and add their own dishes, but database rules stop them from editing the real menu. Deleting a dish that appears in past orders archives it, so order history stays correct.

Foodie is live as a public demo at food-ordering-app-pearl-alpha.vercel.app. Browse the menu, place an order after signing up, then open the restaurant dashboard and move it through the kitchen.
